Board Game Summaries: Part 36

I got 99 game summaries, and Twilight Struggle ain’t one.  Yet.

Valley of the Kings – An ancient Egyptian-themed deckbuilder where you’ll need to take apart your deck by the end to win.

Viticulture – A compelling worker placement game where players will be building up a functioning vineyard from scratch.

Wiz-War – A Beer-and-Pretzels style game with lots of magical warfare as players try to steal each other’s treasure.

I’m coasting into the last few Board Game Summaries with some easy ones, as it’s gotten busy at work.

Ultimate Werewolf – A classic social deduction game that really needs to be played at an actual party to work best!

Ugg-Tect – A light-hearted team-based game where players will be attempting to construct monuments together using a rudimentary caveman language.

Takenoko – A tale of pandas and bamboo, eternally retold.

Through the Ages: A Story of Civilization – A complex civilization-building game where you’ll take your people through two thousand years of history.

Through the Desert – A tactical route-building game with pretty pastel-coloured camels!

Ticket to Ride: Europe – A light route-building game with broad appeal, where players will be building connections across Europe with trains.

Timeline – An educational general knowledge game that’s easy to learn and quick to play.

We’re past the games starting with S, so now it’s time for T!  (see what I did there?)

Star Wars: Imperial Assault – A Star Wars-themed version of Descent that makes a number of incremental improvements to the Descent formula, and adds in Star Wars!  What’s not to like?

Tash Kalar: Arena of Legends – An easy to learn but difficult to master abstract strategy game that works great with two players

Terra Mystica – A complex but satisfying Euro-style strategy game where you’ll be terraforming and colonising land as one of fourteen different fantasy races
